The clash between two teams had made two former Indian captains face to face: Chennai Super Kings is captained by Mahendra Singh Dhoni while Virat Kohli will turn out for RCB.

Chennai resident, Ravichandran Ashwin, the spinner of Chennai Super Kings tagged the CSK franchise in a tweet and requested them to help.
He tweeted “Unreal ticket demand for the #CSKvRCB #IPL2024 opener at Chepauk. My kids want to the see opening ceremony and the game. @ChennaiIPL pls help”.
People who wants to buy tickets can purchase it on sale from 9:30 am on Monday (March 18)onwards on Paytm insider.
One thing need to be noted that in an online sale of IPL tickets only two IPL tickets will be issued per person.
A press release from Chennai Super Kings said “Patrons buying online tickets will be allowed entry by scanning e-tickets with barcode/QR code at the gate".
They added "Patrons will be denied entering the stadium if scanners find tickets are not valid or they are duplicate.”
E-tickets for the match will be allowed for entry into the stadium and fans do not need to carry physical copies of the tickets.
Fans travelling to the Chepauk Stadium for the Chennai Super Kings vs Royal Challengers Banglore game must note that tickets will not allow re-entry in the stadium.
If fans have exited once they will not be allowed to re enter into the stadium even if it is in the middle of the match.
